A free, open-source Game Boy arcade platformer by Tangram Games, with music and sound by potato-tan. A girl bounces off enemies, dashes and boosts upward through the sky to rescue her floating cat before the timer runs out. This is the original 2017 release: its code is MIT licensed and its graphics, text, sound and music are released under CC BY 4.0.
How to play Tobu Tobu Girl
In the original 2017 game, climb through the sky and rescue your cat before the timer runs out.
- Start, then Left / Right + A
- Open the level menu, choose an unlocked level and begin playing.
- Left / Right
- Move sideways while airborne.
- D-pad + A
- Hold a direction and press A to dash, including diagonally. You have three dashes before needing to bounce on an enemy.
- Hold B
- Boost upward while you have energy remaining.
- Start
- Pause the game; press Start again to resume.
Bouncing on an enemy restores your dashes. Dash downward into an enemy to regain boost energy too; avoid spikes and fireballs.
Use the on-screen gamepad or the matching emulator keys.
